Danielle and Monique, thanks for sharing the place with me. Even if I didn't have any idea until we got there what kind of memories were linked to the place. I was a little slow on the uptake. If you ever come to Columbus I will take you to the little house on Westgate avenue where my Mom grew up, a place also full of bitter-sweet memories and certainly memories of a mother who worked hard to do her best for her kids. And yes, the crêpes were delicious. Especially the one with salted caramel which I think you would have enjoyed, Monique! Bisoux à tous. Jamie

Thank you, darling, for taking an interest in my familythough everyone has faded away for quite some years by now. It also brings back the very first visit that we paid together to the location of the store, and how I/we discovered a totally "updated" one, still labeled 'boucherie.' This place, is, unfortunately, linked to a lot of hardship (WW II), pains and sorrow. With retrospect, it also makes me recognize and appreciate deeply all what my dearest mother achieved and sacrificed in her efforts to make my childhood more palatable. If only I had let her know how I felt about it.

what on earth?? that's the nuttiest thing i've heard in a while. so they will take your money. but they will not give it back in any way, as cash. wieeeerd.
let me guess -- they have cash machines but you must always pay the bank a fee to use it?
